The Master’s Programme in Sustainable Energy Technologies and Systems at Linnaeus University is an advanced postgraduate degree designed to equip engineers with the knowledge and tools needed to lead the global transition toward clean, resilient energy systems. Taught entirely in English within the Faculty of Technology on Campus Växjö, this programme awards a Master of Science (120 ECTS) with a major in Energy Technology. The curriculum covers renewable energy generation, smart grid integration, biomass energy conversion, thermal engineering, energy efficiency, and lifecycle assessment of energy systems. Students learn to analyze, model, and optimize complex energy infrastructure while addressing both technical efficiency and environmental impact. Additional Requirements

A Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS credits) equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen with a major in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, Environmental Engineering, or Civil Engineering. Prerequisites include at least 30 ECTS credits in Energy Technology, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, or Heat Transfer, as well as 15 ECTS credits in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics (including linear algebra and calculus). English language proficiency equivalent to Swedish Upper Secondary School English 6 / English B.

This programme is delivered on-campus at Linnaeus University's Campus Växjö. For a Swedish student residence permit, the Swedish Migration Agency mandates a verified minimum maintenance amount of at least SEK 10,656 per month (SEK 127,872 per year).
