Taught 120 points (1 Year Program)

You must have completed a four-year bachelor's degree in engineering at a recognized university (or similar institution) that includes:

  • Broad coverage in your first year of the foundational science topics that underpin engineering disciplines: mathematical modeling, chemical and materials science, electrical engineering theory, mechanics, programming, and engineering design
  • One year of postgraduate-level study
  • A research project or dissertation comprising at least one-quarter of the final year
  • You will need a GPA of 4.0.

Alternatively, you must have completed one year of postgraduate study, following an undergraduate degree, in a relevant discipline at a recognized university (or similar institution) with a GPA of 4.0.

Relevant disciplines include applied science, architecture, commerce, construction, information technology, science and technology.

You will also need at least two years of professional engineering experience.

 

Taught 180 points (1.5 Year Program)

  • You must have completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline at a recognized university (or similar institution) with a GPA of 4.0.
  • Relevant disciplines include applied science, architecture, commerce, construction, engineering, information technology, and science and technology.
  • You will also need at least two years of professional engineering experience.

Note

Eligible international students may receive the University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship, offering up to NZ$10,000.
