The Master's Programme in Global Media Studies provides a comprehensive understanding of the role of media in cultural globalization. The program explores how media content reflects issues of ethnicity, class in media, and media and gender. In the first semester, students are introduced to Global Media Studies and learn about the philosophical foundations of media research. The curriculum covers how knowledge is produced and analyzed in media, emphasizing critical thinking and evaluating research methods. In the second semester, students specialize by choosing from a range of electives, which include current global media topics. The program also allows students to study at partner universities. Students enhance their academic English skills and research design knowledge during the third semester to prepare for their final thesis. In the last semester, students focused on their master's thesis, conducted empirical research, and presented their findings in a final seminar.
