Our Artificial Intelligence MSc offers a balanced curriculum with fundamental and specialist modules. This course teaches you how to develop AI software and apply AI methods in real-world scenarios. This includes collecting and processing data from files, databases, and live sources in real-time and modeling, analyzing, and extracting data from memory and repositories. You will also design, develop, and test intelligent programs capable of automated reasoning and learning. The course further covers constructing and controlling autonomous devices, like robots and drones. A unique aspect of this program is its focus on security, including information, networks, and cybersecurity. You will explore security analytics, a growing AI field that helps detect, classify, and prevent threats. The course ends with a dissertation, which can align with work from our research centers: the Cyber Security Research Centre or the Intelligent Systems Research Centre. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with industry partners, including Lloyds Banking Group and Open Banking Inc. Some modules also prepare you for professional big data, analytics, and cybersecurity qualifications.
