The Master’s Programme in Computer Science at Linköping University (Institute of Technology - LiTH) is an elite, two-year postgraduate degree designed to equip students with deep theoretical foundations and advanced software engineering capabilities. Taught entirely in English within the Faculty of Science and Engineering on Campus Valla, this programme awards a Master of Science (120 ECTS) with a major in Computer Science. LiU is widely recognized as a premier European hub for computing education and research, home to one of Northern Europe's largest academic computing departments. The curriculum is structured around high-level theoretical rigor combined with applied programming and systems design. Additional Requirements

A Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS credits) equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering; OR a minor in Computer Science/related subject area with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits in computer-related subjects (including programming, data structures, databases, software engineering, computer hardware, and computer networks). Prerequisites include at least 24 ECTS credits in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics (including discrete mathematics, linear algebra, and calculus). English language proficiency equivalent to Swedish Upper Secondary School English 6 / English B.

This programme is taught on-campus at Linköping University's Campus Valla in Linköping. For a Swedish student residence permit, the Swedish Migration Agency requires a verified maintenance amount of at least SEK 10,656 per month (SEK 127,872 per year).
