MSc Architecture

The Architecture Master's Program at KTH offers a comprehensive education that combines artistic, design, technological, and practical aspects of architecture. The program comprises studio-based teaching, orientation courses, seminars, and a final independent degree project. Students complete six studio projects throughout the program, with two projects each semester. These studios allow students to apply and develop their skills in various areas of architecture. Each student can choose from about ten studios, with around 25-30 students per studio. The projects often involve both individual work and teamwork. The final degree project is an independent assignment where students formulate a thesis question, prepare a pre-project, and develop a comprehensive architectural project. During the public examination, an external jury evaluates the project, assessing students' academic and professional skills. This two-year program, conducted in English, offers in-depth architectural expertise, preparing graduates to work as architects. The program leads to a professional degree, recognized internationally, allowing students to work in various countries.
