Taught entirely in English on Campus Johanneberg in Gothenburg, this programme awards a Master of Science (120 ECTS) with a major in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. The curriculum covers integrated circuit technology, computer architecture, system-on-chip (SoC) design, real-time operating systems, and industrial software design tools. During the first year, students complete core design modules that lead into a major hands-on embedded system design project developed alongside regional technology partners (targeting applications such as satellite processors, automotive controllers, and medical devices). The degree culminates in the fourth semester with an independent Master’s Thesis (30 ECTS), conducted within Chalmers' leading microelectronics research environments or directly with multinational industry leaders.
