Documents Required for UK TB Test

- Photocopy of Passport or National ID Card with Photograph: You should bring a clear copy of your passport or NID.
- Tuberculosis Test Fee: You should have a receipt of the paid test fee
- Previous Medical Records for Tuberculosis or any lung diseases: If you have ever been diagnosed and recovered from any lung disease, bring those medical prescriptions with you.
TB Test Fees for UK Student Visa
As a Bangladeshi citizen, you must pay the TB test fee in order to become eligible for a UK student visa from Bangladesh. The TB test fee is $78 for Bangladesh citizens.

Refund Policy for TB Test Fee
As an international student, your refund for the TB test fee is non-refundable if you meet any of these cases:
- You have tested positive for tuberculosis.
- You have cancelled your plan to travel.
- Your visa application was rejected.
Exploring TB Test Side Effects
Tuberculosis is much needed to get a UK visa. However, there may be some TB test side effects that you need to know before going for an examination. Some of these are:
- You may have bleeding at the injection site (only for a maximum of 3 days).
- You may have a dry cough.
- You may feel dizzy, fainting, and fever.
- You may have itching and pain at the injection site.
- You may have weakness, laziness, and tiredness.
Validity of the TB test for UK visa
For Bangladeshi citizens, the validity of a TB test for a UK visa is 6 months from the medical examination day (counts from the x-ray date). However, the validity of TB tests varies across countries.
You must get your TB test done just 3-4 weeks earlier than applying for a visa application due to avoid any delays. As an international student, you must ensure that the following information is mentioned accurately on the TB certificate:
- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- X-Ray date
- X-Ray result date
- Complete the address and name of the approved clinic that issues the certificate.
Can I apply for a UK Student Visa without TB Test Certificate?
A TB test certificate is one of the mandatory documents for a UK student visa. So, international students must get a tuberculosis (TB) certificate from a test center that has been officially approved by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), otherwise, there are more chances of visa rejection. There are no chances of getting UK Student Visa without TB Test certificate.
